A. Dax Bello has spent most of his legal career representing clients whose lives have been catastrophically altered by the negligent, criminal, or otherwise tortious conduct of others. As an attorney at Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A., Dax represents the firm's clients in a wide range of matters, including wrongful death, birth injury, medical malpractice, trucking accidents, defective products, auto negligence, construction accidents, sexual assault, and liquor liability. He has also helped recover tens of millions of dollars for governmental agencies through his work in whistleblower and qui tam matters.

Before joining Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A., Dax was an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where he prosecuted dozens of cases to verdict, including homicide, armed home invasion robbery, armed narcotics trafficking, and other violent crimes. He was also a member of the State Attorney's Office's Traffic Homicide Unit. That experience translates directly to his civil trial work. Many of the cases he handles today involve a criminal component and a parallel criminal prosecution, and his relationships within the State Attorney's Office and local law enforcement agencies are critical to prosecuting those cases effectively on the civil side.

Dax earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (B.A. 2005) and his Juris Doctor, with honors, from St. Thomas University School of Law (J.D. 2008). In law school, he served on STU's internationally recognized Intercultural Human Rights Law Review and on its International Moot Court Board, competing in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and placing third in the Southeast Super Regional. He was also a founding Executive Board member of the school's Cuban American Student Bar Association (CASBA).

Outside his practice, Dax devotes significant time to local and national nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as Secretary on the Executive Board of the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association (2022 to present), as a director of the Cuban American Bar Foundation (2017 to present), and as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana (2010 to present).

Dax served on the board of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) from 2011 to 2020 and as its President in 2021. During his tenure he chaired all of the organization's committees and oversaw its Pro Bono Legal Services office, which provides free legal services to thousands of low-income Floridians each year, including victims of human trafficking and domestic violence as well as veterans facing civil legal issues. He has also served on the boards of The Florida Bar Foundation (2023 to 2026), the American Red Cross Greater Miami and Florida Keys Chapter (2018 to 2022), the Latin Builders Association (2013 to 2017), and Legal Services of Greater Miami (2013 to 2015), and as a Commissioner on Miami-Dade County's Continuing Justice Reform Commission (2021 to 2024).

In 2021, Dax served as a liaison member of The Florida Bar's Board of Governors, and from 2015 to 2021 he sat on The Florida Bar's Civil Procedure Rules Committee, helping shape the rules that govern the cases he tries. In 2019, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named him one of South Florida's Top 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers. In 2020 the Miami Dolphins honored him with their Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award., and in 2026 he received one of the Miami-Dade Bar’s Circle of Excellence Awards.
