Attorney A. Dax Bello
Skilled Florida Personal Injury Lawyer
A. Dax Bello began his legal career as in-house counsel of a multi-billion dollar international corporation headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, performing in the area of government, utilities and telecommunications contracting and construction. He was recruited by the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office and sworn in as an Assistant State Attorney in 2009. As a prosecutor, he litigated over 25 criminal trials to Miami-Dade juries as first chair in addition to hundreds of bench trials. He prosecuted crimes of various degrees including: homicide, armed narcotics trafficking, sexual battery, vehicular manslaughter, home invasion robberies and many more. Dax was also a member of the Office’s prestigious Traffic Homicide Unit.
Dax joined the law firm of Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A. in 2013, a civil trial law firm with a specialty in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. While his practice shifted from criminal to civil law, he is still very much engaged in the same type of work. Dax recounted in a recent interview: “I love my job. I am still prosecuting bad guys and helping those folks whose lives have been forever changed or the families of those who are no longer with us, as a result of the negligence or intentional acts of others. I gain a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride when I am able to tell my clients that justice has been served and that those at fault for their misfortunes have been penalized.”
As a civil trial lawyer Dax has represented dozens of clients in a variety of case types, including: traumatic brain injury, defective products, sexual assault, wrongful death, liquor liability, medical malpractice, birth injury, motor vehicle accidents and trucking collisions, aviation and maritime accidents and construction accidents. He has also assisted his clients in pursuing complex civil matters such as whistleblower and class action claims. Since joining Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A. Dax has obtained over $50 million for his clients in recoveries. He was highlighted as an “Attorney to Watch” by Attorney at Law Magazine in 2015, and was recently designated a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a nationally recognized legal publication.
His involvement with the Florida Bar Association, the body which governs attorneys and the practice of law in the State of Florida, began when he was selected to participate in its WM Reese Smith Jr. Leadership Academy, of which he is now a fellow (2015). He was appointed and continues to be re-appointed by Florida Bar Association Presidents to serve as a member of the prestigious Florida Rules of Civil Procedure Committee.
Dax also prides himself in lending his free time to various non-profit organizations with an aim at helping those less fortunate members of the community. Dax is a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, and has co-chaired a number of Carnaval Miami events over the years which are fundraisers for the dozens of annual projects aimed at bettering the lives of children. Those annual projects include the Club’s free summer camps, sports leagues and holiday gift drives.
He is the current Vice-President of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA), an organization aimed to empower minorities in the practice of law and which provides pro bono legal services to the indigent. In the past, Dax has served on CABA’s executive board as Secretary and Treasurer, and chaired every one of CABA’s committees. He has also served as Treasurer of CABA’s Foundation board and for years has successfully lobbied the Florida legislature for public assistance for CABAs Pro Bono Legal Services Program. Dax is also a current board member of the Miami-Dade and Florida Keys Chapter of the American Red Cross, and chaired its 35th Annual Red Cross Gala in 2019.

We Don't Just Talk About Results. We Get Them.
Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A. won a record verdict for a 77-year-old stroke victim who lost the use of the left side of her body due to the negligence of her doctors. Despite being at a higher risk for blood clots and strokes, her cardiologist and electrophysiologist (a heart rhythm specialist) took her off Coumadin—a medication designed for preventing blood clots and strokes. The defendants argued that the patient didn’t deserve a large verdict due to her advanced age and lower life expectancy. The jury saw through their cynical arguments and awarded our client nearly $8 million—the most damages awarded to a malpractice victim over the age of 70 in Florida history.
