Noteworthy CasesFORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC ROLLS OVER AND 17 YEAR OLD IS NOW PARAPLEGIC We are representing a 17 year old who was sitting in the passenger seat of the family’s 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac being driven by his mother. What they did not know was that up ahead, laying in the middle of the Florida turnpike, was a large ladder blocking their lane. The moment our client’s mother saw it she turned to avoid it. The simple act of turning the steering wheel caused the Explorer to roll over and slide off the highway. Before it stopped, the passenger doors opened and our client was ejected onto the highway despite the fact that he was wearing his seatbelt. He was instantly rendered paraplegic. We have filed suit against Ford Motor Company and expect to prove that defects in the design of the vehicle caused the rollover and our client’s injuries.
