Noteworthy CasesGREYHOUND BUS JUMPS CURB AND CRASHES INTO SIX PEOPLE RETURNING FROM CARNIVAL CRUISE After returning from a one week “reunion” cruise, the four couples who we are representing expected to get off the Carnival ship in Fort Lauderdale and drive home. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way. As they waited with their luggage for a shuttle to drive them to their cars, a Greyhound bus arrived to pick up other passengers. The driver put the bus in “park” and got out to start loading luggage. Our clients simply watched as they waited for their shuttle. A few minutes later a Greyhound supervisor, who did not have a license to drive a commercial bus, decided to pull the bus closer to the curb. He shifted into “drive” but never put his foot on the brake. As a result, the bus shot forward and struck numerous people before being stopped by a concrete pole. We are now working with the families to try and resolve their claims.
